Hellas’ Matrix® Turf system was installed in the summer of 2014. Cameron ISD’s school board approved the project in May 2014. Construction for the first phase of the stadium was finalized in September.
In addition to turf, Hellas also installed its epiQ TRACKS® system, as well as the visitor’s grandstands. Hellas is also responsible for the second phase of the project, which includes new home grandstands to match the visitors’ side, as well as a tennis complex, and an A.D.A. approved entrance to the stadium.

“It’s pretty impressive to pass a bid in May and be able to play your first game in such a short time span,” said Cameron ISD’s Superintendent Colin Clark. “For the average worker on the job, to the superintendent of the project and the President of Hellas, there is a great sense of pride for the quality of work that they provide.”
