ODESSA’S FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHT SHINE ON SAFETY IN ECTOR COUNTY ISD

(Apr 26, 2022) – You’ve read the book. You’ve seen the movie. Now find out why the “Friday Night Lights” shine so bright in the West Texas oil fields of Odessa. Ector County I.S.D. puts safety first in everything they do including hiring Hellas Construction to install LED lighting and Matrix Helix® synthetic turf at iconic Ratliff Stadium. Hellas added Ecotherm™ infill to keep the field 20 degrees cooler than traditional crumb rubber, plus a Cushdrain® shock pad to help reduce concussions and improve drainage. Hellas also installed Matrix Helix synthetic turf with Cushdrain shock pad at Odessa and Permian High Schools and Fusion™ synthetic turf on several Ector County I.S.D middle school campuses. Legendary high school football coach Mark Ball, a Hellas Business Development Manager in West Texas, and Legends of Texas High School Football Producer Jeff Power, went to speak with Ector County Executive Director Tracey Borchardt, who is excited about all of the changes in Odessa.
