– Hellas continues to make a huge impact in the Midwest opening a new office in Wichita. A ribbon-cutting was attended by hundreds of business owners and educators in the great state of Kansas. Hellas’ footprint in the Sunflower State is evident including quite a few installs in the Wichita Public Schools #259, Valley Center, Goddard, Andover, and Maize. Among the many colleges where Hellas installed fields include Bethel College, Fort Hays State, Kansas Wesleyan, Kansas and Wichita State University. Shockers head baseball coach Eric Wedge presented Hellas President and CEO Reed Seaton with a Wichita State baseball jersey.
Seaton is a native of Wichita, Kansas. Michelle Kuhns is also a native of Wichita and is currently located in this city also known as the “Air Capital of the World.” Both Reed and Michelle graduated from Wichita Southeast High School and are very proud to work with Wichita Public Schools. “Mr. Seaton’s shared vision and goals for Hellas Construction has allowed me to learn and grow as a leader in this area,” Kuhns says. “We want the same things - build it right from start to finish.” Among the attendees included Wichita Mayor Jeff Longwell, Wichita State Director of Development Alex Johnson, Accel Construction Owner Tony Caputo, SJCF Architecture President Shannon Ferguson-Bohm, Vice President of McCowan Gordon Steve Levy, and Cornejo Construction Manager Blake Blasi.
“Opening an office in Wichita, Kansas is an indication that we are experiencing permanent growth and not a temporary growth spurt,” according to Hellas Vice President of the Central Region Michelle Kuhns. “I am excited to have an office where our customers can utilize Hellas Construction for their turf, track and tennis court needs.” Kuhns adds, “I love my job!” It’s evident in her work ethic and desire to grow the company throughout the Midwest.

Concordia Public Schools Superintendent and their Principal drove 3 hours to be there at the ribbon cutting.
