Marble Falls, TX (May 10, 2018) –
Students and staff are filled with anticipation of the start of construction on the new Faith Academy athletic complex to be named Fields of Faith. Hellas Construction was just awarded the $2 million contract to build a new football field complete with Hellas’ well-known Matrix® Turf with Helix Technology and a new epiQ Tracks® running track. The groundbreaking is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15 at 4 p.m. at the Faith Academy campus, in Marble Falls.
Hellas Construction will be building the new football field and installing its Matrix Helix turf, the same synthetic turf the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and Miami Dolphins use. Geo PlusTM organic infill, made from cork and coconut fibers, was also selected. It offers superior playability and traction while keeping the field up to 40° cooler than a black crumb rubber alternative. A Cushdrain® pad will be installed under the turf for added safety. This paved-in-place elastic layer will keep the GMAX of the field low and help reduce concussions, while providing planarity and rapid drainage after severe weather. In addition, Hellas will install a new S200 epiQ Tracks® running track system and field lighting.
Faith Academy Trustee and Board Chairman Stuart Nunnally said, “We are thrilled to kick off this phase of our athletic complex. It has been a wonderful experience getting to this point, and we anticipate being ready for the 2018 football season and having a brand new track and field for all of our students to run and play on this fall.”
Hellas Construction President and CEO Reed J. Seaton said, “Hellas is proud to partner with Faith Academy to build this new athletic facility using our Hellas Design Build Group. This facility will leave a lasting legacy for the academy that will benefit student athletes on many different levels.”
