About
AUSTIN, TX (March 15, 2016) –
Faster. Smarter. Stronger. Residents, athletes, and school boards alike in Bakersfield, CA, know that Hellas Construction is at the top of the game when it comes to sports surfaces and customer service, making Hellas the go-to for Bakersfield track and field surface projects.
Memorial Stadium at Bakersfield College is one of the few venues on the west coast with the capacity to host 20,000 people. In order to offer track and field event attendees the very best, Bakersfield College has turned to Hellas Construction for a complete track rehabilitation.
Hellas will prepare and level the existing track surface and apply a proprietary
epiQ Tracks® X1000
5 mm topcoat. In addition to the new track rehabilitation, Hellas will also retop the area for field events.
Bakersfield High School will be building a new high school track and field complex from the ground up. The stadium will be equipped with epiQ Tracks X1000 as well as a new area for field events.
“It was a pleasure working with the athletic department, Bakersfield College track coaches, and Don Birdwell in Facilities and Operations to make this track rehabilitation project come to fruition this spring,” said Michael Yurcho, Hellas Business Development Manager.
Upon completion, Bakersfield College and Bakersfield High School will both be ready to hit the ground running at the start of the new season with two new, IAAF certified epiQ Tracks.
