About
Austin, TX (June 5, 2015) —
Hellas is back in Coppell, TX for the fourth time since 2007. On May 29th Hellas will break ground to install Matrix® Synthetic Turf and epiQ Tracks® V300 running track system for Buddy Echols Field at Coppell High School with completion scheduled for mid-August. Hellas previously constructed fields at Coppell Middle School West and Coppell Middle School North in the last four years.
Coppell High School, a second round customer with Hellas, will replace their existing Matrix® Turf with new Matrix® turf over the previously installed Cushdrain® pad. The pad will now be in its second turf lifecycle adding G-Max and longevity to the field. Other field installations include new goal posts and improvements to field drainage system.
The facility will also receive an eco-friendly, paved-in-place epiQ Tracks® V300 running track system that is made up of a base layer of polyurethane bound rubber granules, which are sealed and topped with a spray-applied coat of one or two-component polyurethane and EPDM granules. Crews will also pour in concrete flatwork surrounding the track topped with the TPS® 5000 court surfacing, manufactured at Hellas Polymers, which provides superior filling and leveling characteristics as well as added aesthetics to the facility.
“We’re very happy that Coppell ISD has chosen Hellas for this project,” says Randy Bullock, Business Development Manager at Hellas Construction. “This is the fourth time we have partnered with them and we are excited to continue providing superior facilities that their community can be proud of and can use for years to come.”
