AUSTIN, TX (January 13, 2015) –
Last night’s intense football game between Oregon and Ohio State at AT&T Stadium ended in victory for the Buckeyes. Under the players’ feet, the best performing and finest looking synthetic turf seen this season in college football - and for one of the most physical games played at this level, stable footing and a predictable playing surface was proven crucial.
The Matrix® Turf at AT&T stadium is an interchangeable SofTop® field system provided by Hellas Construction. The conversion from the Cowboys’ NFL field to a customized bowl field, such as the National Championship and the Goodyear® Cotton Bowl, “is typically a two-day process,” said Mauricio Espinosa Manager for Turf Operations at Hellas.
Hellas Construction has perfected sports surfacing and sports construction by offering complete made-to-order systems for athletic Venues. Hellas is the only boutique contractor who controls the entire supply chain and performs its own work nationwide for the building and installation of synthetic turf fields.
“Hellas was proud to be the provider for the inaugural National Championship and we are looking forward to many more years of involvement with the College Playoffs, AT&T Stadium, and the Dallas Cowboys,” said Reed J. Seaton, President and CEO of Hellas Construction.
